Privacy Policy

1. Summary

SIXTY has no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours holding your data. What you type stays in the app's own storage on your device.

Three things leave your device.

  1. Checking your subscription. When SIXTY opens, it asks RevenueCat whether this device has an active subscription, and what the plans cost. This happens on launch, not only when you buy. It carries no birth data, no name, and no identifier we created — RevenueCat assigns this device an anonymous ID of its own. If it cannot reach the network, the app still works; everything except the paid features is offline.
  2. Buying a subscription. The purchase is processed by Apple or Google, and the receipt is validated by RevenueCat.
  3. Sharing a file yourself. When you tap share, the audio, MIDI, or image is handed to your device's share sheet and then to the app you pick.

Only you can make (2) and (3) happen. (1) happens on its own.

Everything else — the music, the colours, your dates — is produced and kept on your device.

2. What SIXTY stores on your device

Stored in the app's own preference storage:

  • Your birth date, stored as a plain calendar date
  • Your time of birth (hour and minute), and whether you have entered one
  • Your nickname, if you gave one
  • Which days you have kept, and the feeling you chose for each
  • The dates you have saved as Life Dates, and the names you gave them
  • Your interface language, light/dark choice, and arrangement preference
  • An identifier derived from your birth date and hour. It is calculated on your device and used only to keep your music consistent between sessions. It is never sent anywhere.

Stored in your device's temporary folder:

  • Audio rendered for playback, so replays are instant
  • Copies of audio, MIDI, or share-card images prepared when you use share or download

These temporary files carry the same personal meaning as the data above, because they encode your music. Your operating system may delete them at any time, the app sweeps leftovers from previous sessions at launch, and Start over removes them (see section 7).

3. How the data is used

Everything in section 2 is used on your device, to run the app:

  • Your birth date and the hour you were born shape the melody and the colour you hear and see. Everyone plays the same piano — what your birth data decides is the music, not the instrument. Leave the time blank and the app treats it as noon. The minute you enter is stored and shown back to you, but it does not change the music.
  • The days you have kept and the feeling you chose for each are what a week or a month is assembled from.
  • Your Life Dates and their names are labels for you to recognise them by.
  • Your language, light/dark, and arrangement choices set how the app looks and sounds.

We do not operate a server and we do not receive your birth data, your nickname, your kept days, your Life Dates, or your music. There is no mechanism in the app that sends them anywhere. We do not use any of it for profiling, advertising, or any purpose beyond producing what you see and hear.

The only personal data associated with you that we cause to reach a third party is your purchase, plus the subscription check RevenueCat receives when the app opens. That check carries no birth data, no name, and no identifier we created.

4. Purchases and third-party services

When you buy a subscription:

  • Apple or Google processes the payment under its own terms. We never see your card details, your name, or your billing address.
  • RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt so it can validate your subscription and unlock the paid features. RevenueCat identifies your subscription with an anonymous identifier it generates. We do not pass it your birth data, your name, or any identifier we created. RevenueCat's own privacy manifest declares that it collects purchase history only, that it is not linked to your identity, and that it is not used for tracking.

These are the only third parties the app itself sends anything to. Files you choose to share go elsewhere, and that is covered in section 5. Their policies:

5. Files you share yourself

When you use share or download, SIXTY writes a file to a temporary folder and passes it to your device's system share sheet. You choose where it goes. Once the file reaches the app you picked — a messaging app, a cloud drive, a video editor — it is handled under that app's terms and privacy policy, not ours. We have no visibility into it and no way to recall it.

A shared file contains the audio, MIDI, or artwork for the day or period you shared. It does not contain your birth date, your nickname, or your other saved days.

6. What SIXTY does not do

  • No analytics. We do not measure how you use the app.
  • No advertising. No ad SDKs and no advertising identifier.
  • No tracking. Nothing is combined with data from other apps or websites.
  • No crash or diagnostic reporting of our own.
  • No accounts and no server of ours that holds your data.
  • No AI services. The music is produced by an algorithm running on your device. Nothing is sent to any model, ours or anyone else's.
  • No selling or renting of personal data, ever.

7. Retention and deletion

Everything in section 2 stays on your device until you remove it.

Me → Start over deletes your birth date and time, your nickname, every day you have kept and its feeling, your Life Dates, and the audio, MIDI, and share-card images SIXTY has written to the temporary folder. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

Start over deliberately keeps your interface language, light/dark choice, and arrangement preference. Those are settings, not personal data, and losing them would only make the app harder to read after a reset.

Deleting the app removes the app's stored data from that device.

Your subscription record is held by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, not by us. To cancel, use your device's subscription settings. To ask RevenueCat to delete its record, write to us at the address in section 13 and we will pass the request on.

8. Device backups

  • Android: SIXTY has device backup turned off, so its data is not copied to Google Drive.
  • iOS: the app's preference storage can be included in an iCloud or encrypted local backup made by your device. That copy belongs to you, stays inside your Apple account, and can be deleted in iOS Settings. We cannot read it.

9. Your rights

Because there is no account and no server of ours, we hold no copy of your data to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. All of it is in your hands: view and edit it in the app, and erase it with Start over or by deleting the app.

For the purchase records described in section 4, contact us and we will pass your request to RevenueCat. Apple and Google handle requests about payment data directly under their own policies.

10. Children

SIXTY is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided data to us through the app, contact us — although in practice the app has no account and no upload, so there is nothing on our side to remove.

11. International transfers

We do not operate servers and we do not transfer your data across borders. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may process purchase data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under their own policies and safeguards.

12. Security

Data stored by SIXTY lives in the app's private storage, protected by your device's operating system and screen lock. Because it never travels, there is no transmission of it to intercept.

Note that SIXTY has no separate passcode of its own: anyone who can unlock your device can open the app and see what you have saved. No method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Where SIXTY is available

SIXTY is currently not offered in the European Union or the United Kingdom.

14. Changes to this policy

If the app's data flow changes — a new service, a backup feature, anything that sends data off your device — this policy is updated in the same release, and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use SIXTY after an update means you accept the revised policy.
